Who Owns Your Data?

Some people are saying it’s time we logged-off Facebook for good. Maybe even to quit all social media. Is it?

Read the following words and phrases and their definitions.
  • hopelessly addicted to social media - having an unusually great need to be active on social media
  • to target ads at someone - to show specific ads only that will interest the intended viewer
  • inappropriately - in a wrong or unsuitable way
  • to influence the outcome - to make little, indirect changes that will have an effect on the result
  • bigwigs - powerful or important people
  • to brag - to talk about yourself and what you’re doing in a way that shows too much pride
  • to sway - to persuade others to agree with you or share your opinion
  • to take a tumble - to fall suddenly to a lower level
  • to get something out of something - to enjoy something or think something is really useful
