Young and Politically Active

The US presidential elections are coming up, it’s hard to miss. Just the other week, the first big television debate took place.
Meet Weston Imer from Colorado, a young supporter for one of the candidates.

Read the following words and phrases and their definitions.
  • co-chair - the chair is the person who is the leader of an organization or committee, the co-chair is the person who helps the chair do his or her job
  • critical - extremely important
  • eligible year - the year in which Weston is old enough to run for president
  • presumptuous - very confident, maybe even too confident, especially in a way that is rude
